Rev. Eric Dorville, Pastor

Pastor Eric Dorville has desired one thing: that people would encounter and experience God in a transformative way. His primary spiritual gifts are building relationships and teaching. He hopes to reflect the love of Christ to all he encounters while challenging them to grow in their faith and be the disciples Christ calls them to be.

Stephanie Amos, Administrative Assistant

From a young age, my journey with Jesus began as I accepted Him into my heart and joined my family in worship at church. The Session

The Session at Penningtonville is comprised of 6 people called Elders. They are the governing body of the church and are responsible for making sure the mission and ministry is carried out faithfully.

As it seeks to lead and guide the congregation, the session is to keep before it the Marks of the Church,  the Notes of the Reformed Church, and the Great Ends of the Church. The session’s main responsibilities and powers fall within three broad categories tied to the Notes of the Church:

  • Providing the word of God may be truly preached and heard;
  • Providing the Sacraments be rightly administered and received;
  • Nurturing the covenant community of Christ’s disciples.

The Deacons

The deacons are ordained members of the church who strive to be the hands and feet of Christ to the congregation and the local community.

The ministry of a deacon is a ministry of compassion, witness, and service, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress.

The Trustees

The primary responsibilities of the trustees are the maintenance and upkeep of the church buildings and grounds. They are also in charge of managing any funds given specifically for the maintenance and upkeep of the church buildings and grounds. Sundays of Service are organized periodically by the Trustees to help accomplish the ordinary tasks of maintaining an old building. Snow removal, grass cutting, window cleaning, and pipe replacing are only a few of the things the trustees do to keep our church looking beautiful.
