We Worship; we get connected in a Community Formation Group; and then we are challenged to Go & Serve through Mission & Outreach Opportunities.

Mission & Outreach Opportunities provide us opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus out in our community and the world beyond. Mission & Outreach Opportunities provide us opportunities to use our variety of different gifts, to go to a variety of different places, to accomplish a variety of different goals, all for the glory of God. Mission & Outreach Opportunities challenge us to Go & Serve, just as Jesus modeled for us in his life of service to others.

Currently we support 4 Mission & Outreach Opportunities, as well as financially supporting 4 PC(USA) Mission Offerings. Read a little about each Mission & Outreach Opportunity on this page and see where God might be calling you to get involved.

Camp Donegal

717-862-3722

Mission Statement:
The ministry and mission of Camp Donegal is to provide a peaceful setting
away from the busy world where all may gather, play and pray, learn and grow
in their relationship with Jesus Christ, with others, and with themselves.

There are opportunities to serve through volunteer work days at Camp Donegal, as well as volunteering during the Summer Camping Season. During the Summer Camping Season volunteers are also needed to serve as Nurses and Chaplains for the camps going on. Encouraging children and youth you know to go to Camp Donegal is also a wonderful way of supporting Camp Donegal. Financial gifts of all sizes, big and small, help to continue the wonderful mission and ministry of Camp Donegal. Individuals and churches together can help assure that lives will continue to be impacted by Camp Donegal.

Good Works, Inc.

www.goodworksinc.org
610-383-6311

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to extend God's love to families living in substandard housing;
to make homes warmer, safer, and drier;
to replace hopelessness with the hope of Jesus Christ.
Our vision is to eliminate substandard housing in Chester County.

Sign up to be a part of a Saturday Work Crew. We gather in Coatesville to get our assignments and then head out for a day of work, where our lives will be touched just as much as the lives we will touch.

All those workers need to be fed - maybe you can help in preparing some lunches.

While most of the labor is donated, financial gifts are needed to help pay for the materials to fix up the homes. Individuals and churches are needed to partner with Good Works to help provide the financial backing to continue to reach those in need.

Parkesburg Churches Community Outreach

Mission Statement:
The Parkesburg area family of churches, in conjunction with
various county and state agencies, seeks to serve the basic human needs
of our community which includes, but is not limited to, food, clothing, furniture, utilities, and to do so in the name of Christ our Savior.

The PCCO provides a Mobile Food Pantry, the 4th Wednesday of each month (except in November and December when it is held the 3rd Wednesday) at the Schneider Parish Center (2995 Cemetery Road, Parkeburg) form 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. People are needed to help set up and to assist people in picking out their food supplies from the pantry. There is also an Emergency Food Pantry for needs that arise in between Mobile Food Pantry Days. Food and financial donations are always welcome. Contact Parkesburg Presbyterian Church (610-857-5800) for more information.

The PCCO operates a clothing store, Righteous Clothing, on Main Street in Pareksburg. This ministyr is overseen by the Parkesburg Methodist Church (610-857-9422). Please call the church for hours of operation and items that can be donated.

The PCCO also maintains a storage shed for furniture that is collected and then distributed to those in need. The Church of the Ascension (610-857-9176) oversees this ministry. If you have furniture to donate or would be willing to help in transportation and delivery of furniture please call the church.

Financial help is available to those who need help paying housing or utility bills. Volunteers from the PCCO work with people in identifying county and state programs that are available to them, while also helping in emergency situation. Financial contributions are always welcomed and appreciated to help meet the ever growing needs of many in our community.

Alyce Denver - alyce.denver@bridgesoflifemedical.org

Mission Statement:
The Mission of B.O.L. is to demonstrate the love of Christ
by providing quality medical care and sharing with the people of Haiti
the saving Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rebuilding takes money, lots of money. Financial contributions are greatly appreciated to continue the good work that has begun, and to assure that it will continue. Donations of materials and supplies are also appreciated. Visit the website and click on the "Our Project" tab, and then click on "Clini-Med Items" to find a list of needed tools and materials.

Or maybe you have building or medical skills and you are up for the challenge of going to Haiti to truly be the hands and feet of God in that country. Maybe you are being called to go work side by side with Haitian people, not just rebuilding buildings, but rebuilding lives. Contact Alyce Denver to discuss opportunities and possibilities that exist for this to happen.
